Morgan E. Foster
Of Counsel
Morgan spent 20 years practicing in the traditional legal system, including 10 years focusing on complex divorce and custody cases. Her practice focused on divorce, division of assets, spousal support, child support, custody, visitation and other family law issues.
In her family law practice, Morgan drew on years of experience representing corporate clients (including Fortune 500 companies) in matters involving disputes arising from corporate mergers, buy-outs, sales, acquisitions or other dissolution. Morgan applied this experience with “corporate divorces” to assist clients with complex divorce and custody issues, including division of complex asset portfolios.
While Morgan continues to be available to assist Rice Law clients with litigation matters she started a mediation practice, the Pivot Point, LLC to provide an alternative path for family law clients.
Morgan is the divorced mother of two young boys. Having followed the process that she now offers to others, Morgan enjoys a positive and supportive co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband, and observed her own children thrive through and beyond divorce.
Morgan received her B.A. from Brown University with Honors in 2001 and J.D. from Emory University Law School in 2005. Morgan has a certificate in Divorce Mediation from Northwestern University School of Professional Studies. In addition to her law practice, Morgan has served on the Faculty of the Trial Advocacy College at University of Virginia Law School since 2019 teaching trial advocacy skills to law students and experienced attorneys.
